First Collection Drive

The first T4T collection drive ended on March 18, 2016.  The drive ws a great success!  The team was able to contribute items to the Kenwood High Clothes Closet and the school's F.U.E.L. food pantry. This enables the school's social worker to expand their distribution of items to students receiving assistance.  Items were also donated to the Salvation Army's Shelter.

Sorting Day!

The team sorts the donations and donates items to the school's Clothes Closet that has begun hosting "shopping days" for students identified in need of assistance.  The school's social worker works with our students in need to provide F.U.E.L. food bags for the weekend as well as clothing items and/or school supplies as needed. Our students and their families are also directed to other agencies available in our community.

Community Conversation

The Clarksville Montgomery County Schools (CMCSS) Office of Families in Transition hosted a lunch meeting which included a Teens 4 Teens presentation and community conversation between members of local government, organizations and churches on the topic of local homelessness especially as it concerns our youth. Ms. Heather Guest, the CMCSS contact person for our families in need, invited the City Mayor, Kim McMillan, to the event as well. The groups mentors from DRVN were also instrumental in making this day happen!  The community connections and opportunities to share ideas and services to help our students in need was overwhelming. Thank you to all who attended and who continue to keep these connections alive!

The Mayor of Clarksville invited the T4T Team to attend a City Council Meeting on Thursday, May 5, 2016. The team was recognized for their efforts in helping other local teenagers. The Mayor presented them with certificates of recognition and medals! The T4T team was treated to a wonderful standing ovation by the City Council and the audience. Truly a remarkable and meaningful event for these young men!  Many thanks to Mayor McMillan!

DRVN Production Co.

"Awesome time with our local youth. They are about to change lives! These Kenwood High students are ready to step up and do what others won't - Giveback!"

DRVN Productions visits with the T4T team at Kenwood High School to discuss their misson and vision. Staying focused and staying motivated is the message shared with the team by founder Michael Bell and Christian Santiago. Both are graduates of CMCSS schools and Christian graduated from KHS. They were impressed with the team's desire to give back to the community and their desire to help fellow teenagers who are going through hard times.

More schools join the cause!

After visiting several schools and talking with students and advisors about what T4T is all about, the team announced on April 8, 2016 that additional schools have joined the movement and are establishing similar groups in their own schools! Welcome!
